Novel Solutions Engineering began with a commitment to improve processes. As an aircraft maintenance engineer B1.3 (mechanical) with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), I often identified opportunities for better efficiency and effectiveness. My mechanical training led me to develop improved tools and fixtures, enhancing safety, consistency, and productivity in aircraft maintenance. I took on a role in a department focused on aircraft maintenance test and evaluation (T&E), where I gained valuable experience in CAD design, CNC manufacturing, and additive manufacturing. My efforts included creating instrumentation to collect aircraft performance data and developing tooling and ground support equipment to elevate the quality of work on the hangar floor. The fulfillment I found in this work inspired me to start a business, allowing me to offer my skills across various industries, beyond just naval aviation.
