Novel Solutions Engineering was founded on a commitment to continuous improvement. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B1.3 Mechanical), I regularly identified opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness on the hangar floor. This mechanical background drove me to design and develop improved tools and fixtures that enhanced safety, consistency, and productivity in aircraft maintenance.
I later moved into a role within aviation Test and Evaluation, where I built extensive experience in CAD design, CNC manufacturing, fabrication and additive manufacturing. This included developing custom instrumentation for capturing aircraft performance data, as well as bespoke tooling, jigs, fixtures and ground support equipment that raised the standard of work across maintenance operations.
That experience — and the satisfaction of solving real engineering problems — led me to establish Novel Solutions Engineering, extending these skills beyond aviation to support clients across a range of industries.
