Unlike subtractive manufacturing, additive manufacturing requires far less time to develop toolpaths and work-holding. It is well suited to quick prototypes as well as end-use parts. Additive manufacturing can be a cost-effective alternative to injection moulding as there is no initial investment in tooling required. This also saves considerable time as we can get to making parts right away.
